All India Engineering Entrance Examination

All India Engineering Entrance Examination for Admission to B.E./B.Arch./B.Tech. and B.Pharmacy The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts an All India Engineering Entrance Examination for admission to Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy Programmes offered in the following deemed Universities, Central Institutions and Institutions in the States/UTs.

Scheme of Examination
Candidate opting for degree courses in Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy would be required to undertake test in different papers as mentioned below: B.E./B.Tech.: Paper-1 (Physics & Chemistry), Paper-2 (Mathematics) B.Pharma.: Paper-1 (Physics & Chemistry), Paper-2 (Mathematics) or Paper-3 (Biology–Botony & Zoology). B.Arch.: Paper-2 (Mathematics), Paper-4 (Aptitude Test) Eligibility i. For admission to Engineering Degree Programmes Minimum academic qualification for admission to Engineering Degree Programmes through All India Engineering/Pharmacy/ Architecture Entrance Examination is a pass in 10+2 Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent referred to as a qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Those appearing in the 10+2 final or equivalent examination may also appear in AIEEE for consideration of provisional admission. But they shall not be eligible for admission to Engineering Degree Programmes if they do not pass the qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. ii. For admission to Bachelor of Architecture Course Minimum qualification for admission to degree programmes in architecture shall be a pass in the 10+2 examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks with Mathematics as one of the subjects of examination at 10+2. iii. For admission to Bachelor of Pharmacy Course The minimum qualification for admission to the degree course in Pharmacy shall be a pass in 10+2 or its equivalent Science Stream Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology or Mathematics. Note: Those who are going to take the +2 examination can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions at the time of admission. Date of Birth: Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1983 are eligible. However, in the case of SC, ST and PH candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. those SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1978 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate only will be taken as authentic. RECs Upgraded to NITs: The government has decided to restructure the RECs into National Institutes of Technology (NIT). The NITs have been granted "Deemed to be University" status, which means that these can award degrees on their own, besides enjoying complete academic freedom. The NITs will continue to reserve 50% of the seats for state-based students and the remaining 50% will be selected on the basis of an unified exam, the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). 1.
